If you keep your hard earned dollars in Rowlett, you'll be rewarded! Shoppers in Rowlett have gone above and beyond all expectations to make the "Shop Rowlett" stimulus program a huge success. More than half a million dollars in local sales receipts were turned in to the city in less than 20 days from the start of the program. In return, those shoppers were given a $25 gift card for each $250 increment of receipts from local businesses. Their names were also entered into a monthly drawing for a $250 gift card.
Although all of the individual gift cards have been distributed, shoppers who bring in $250 in local receipts for validation will continue to be entered into the monthly drawing through June 2010.
Gift cards are valid at more than 50 local businesses.
Winners will be announced on the monthly news program "Rowlett, On the Lake, On the Move" hosted by Mayor John Harper.
