Our staff makes it fast and easy to obtain permits for both residential and commercial construction and will help walk you through the development process for your project.  We work together with several departments including the Planning, Engineering, Fire and Health to provide inspection services for all building construction projects (both commercial and residential) as well as development plan review within the community.

We strive to accomplish these tasks efficiently and with accountability to the community we serve.









To obtain a mechanical, electrical, plumbing or re-roof permit, please complete the permit application and the credit card authorization form. If you are a contractor and are not registered with the City of Rowlett or have not renewed your registration since the first day of the current year, please also complete the contractor's registration form and submit copies of the appropriate licenses.
These forms may be submitted by fax at 972.412.6228 or e-mail to the Development Services Technician. The permit will be processed and sent back to you along with a receipt.

The fee for these permits is $50.00 each.
