The Downtown portion of Realize Rowlett 2020 Phase II concluded Tuesday, November 6, 2012 with the adoption of the Downtown Report into the Realize Rowlett 2020 Comprehensive Plan, the adoption of Form Based Codes, and the rezoning of Downtown to the Urban Village and New Neighborhood Form Based zoning Districts!

As part of Realize Rowlett 2020 Phase II, we paid special attention to Downtown.  This area is the heart of Rowlett.  Amenities include Main Street's shops and restaurants, the library, and other civic facilities.  It's near the recently opened President George Bush Turnpike and the future home of a DART Blue Line Rail Station.  With all these opportunities we want to ensure this area develops as a true focal point for everyone in the community. 




Public Meetings
Two Public Input Meetings have been held for this area as part of Realize Rowlett 2020.  Public input is an essential part of this process.  We appreciate your ideas, thoughts, and comments!  You can read more about these meetings in the project history.
