Officer Jimmy Patterson (served 1984-2008) retired after serving the City of Rowlett and the Rowlett Police Department for over 24 years. Officer Patterson has filled many roles in his career with the department to include: Patrol, SWAT, Dectective, and Narcotics Investigator.
Officer Patterson started his career in 1984 and soon was assigned to the Investigations Division where he worked for over eighteen years.
Crime Prevention Officer John Johnson (served 1986-2008) retired from RPD after 23 years of service. During his tour Officer Johnson worked as a patrol officer, crime scene investigator, DARE and GREAT instructor, and developed the departments crime prevention program.
Officer Darcel Moore (served 1986-2007 ) retired after serving the City of Rowlett and the Rowlett Police Department for over twenty-one years.
Officer Moore is a Viet Nam veteran. He started his law enforcement career as a police officer after separating from the military and was first employeed by Eastfield College in 1974. He then worked for the Dallas Police Department from 1976-1977, and the Terrell Police Department from 1977-1986 before coming to Rowlett.
Sgt. Renzo Agostini (served 1981 - 2005) holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate from TCLEOSE and has over 1600 hours of law enforcement related training.
In 1981 he started as a patrolman in Rowlett. He was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 1984, nominated for employee of the year in 1984 and Police Officer of the year in 1986.
During the course of his career he worked as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Crime Scene Investigator, and Detention Sergeant.
Holding Rowlett Police Department badge number 1001, Sergeant of Police Renzo Agostini retired as the department's senior sergeant and longest serving officer. |
Chief of Police Reece Daniel (served 1999-2005) retired January 31, 2005. Chief Daniel led the Rowlett Police Department for five years. He served the law enforcement profession for almost 30 years.
Assistant Chief Don Fuller (served 1987 - 2003) retired from the department on February 28, 2003 after over 15 years of outstanding and honorable service to our community.
Assistant Chief Fuller joined the Rowlett Police Department on November 5, 1987 working as personnel, training, range master, and internal affairs officer. On December 12, 1990 he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and was the Commander of the Support Services Division, where he was responsible for personnel, internal affairs, training, records, communications, detention, and other areas not covered by patrol or criminal investigations. On February 3, 2000 he was appointed to the position of Assistant Chief of Police, a rank which held until his retirement.
