 It is indeed a pleasure to welcome you to the Rowlett Police Department Web site. It is my hope that you will find this site to be a valuable resource in your search for information about the department, and that you will discover ways in which you can join in partnership with us to enhance the quality of life in the community.
The Rowlett Police Department is composed of 110 highly motivated and professional sworn police officers and civilians who proudly serve the citizens of Rowlett. They work 24 hours per day to protect lives and property within a community that spans approximately 19 square miles and is home to more than 54,000 people.
Members of this department are committed to providing quality customer service through a community oriented and problem solving philosophy. Within this philosophy, department members work in partnership with citizens to identify the root causes of crime for purposes of making long-term improvements in the safety and quality of life within Rowlett. This philosophy is reflected in the agency's mission and vision statements, and is characterized by the department goals as outlined in the department’s Strategic Plan.
I encourage you to view the portion of our Web site devoted our community outreach and education programs to see the opportunities for involvement that are available to you, as a citizen.
