LIBRARY AIDE $11.03-14.47/hourly: Under direct supervision, assists in maintaining organization of shelves and materials of the library; performs related duties as required. Responsible for shelving library materials in proper Dewey order. Performs circulation related duties, including checking library materials in and out, collecting fines and fees, and interacting with patrons. Responsible for regular attendance and arriving to work on time. Ability to read and write in English, and ability to file alphabetically and numerically. Ability to follow established procedures. Must have a High school diploma or GED. Library experience is preferred, but will train.
LIBRARY PAGE $8.40-$11.03/hourly/Part Time: Under direct supervision, assists in maintaining organization of shelves and materials of the library; performs related duties as required. Responsible for sorting and shelving library materials in proper Dewey order. Organizes materials on the shelves to maintain correct numerical and alphabetical order. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for regular attendance and arriving to work on time. Ability to read and write in English, and ability to file alphabetically and numerically. Ability to follow established procedures. Must be at least 16 years old. Library experience is preferred, but will train.
RECREATION COORDINATOR $38,540-$50,567/annually: Under direct supervision of the Assistant Recreation Division Manager, plans, organizes and implements recreation division and city wide special events, recreation programs; performs related duties as required. Research, develop and implement recreation and leisure events and activities for all ages. Coordinate and supervise staff and volunteers for recreation and special events as needed. Responsible for budget preparation and monitoring. Promotes community awareness of division and citywide events and programs through city wide marketing program. Knowledge of the theories and philosophies or recreation and leisure science; goals and objectives of recreation programming; rules and skills of recreation activities. Bachelor’s Degree in recreation administration, leisure studies or related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years recreation related experience.
WATERPARK CASHIER $7.80-$10.24/hourly: Operates the ticket sales and gift shop areas at the Water Park. Collects money from guests and gives change. Schedules parties and enroll participants in classes. Turns in daily sales, revenue and paperwork from your register and shift. Assists with opening and closing procedures. Maintains a clean, safe environment at all times. Responsible for regular attendance and arriving to work on time. Must be able to read and write. Cashiering experience preferred. Ability to count money and make change. Work well with customers in a friendly manner, assisting them with ticket and gift shop sales, answering and enrolling them in classes. Must be able to read to complete time sheets, cash register functions, and prepare daily reports. Must be able to write to complete time sheets, and daily cash report and paperwork. Good math skills required to count change, Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees and maintain a good relationship with all age groups and the general public. Will work a varying schedule, including weekends and holidays as designated by the Water Park Safety Supervisor.
WATERPARK FOOD & BEVERAGE COOK/CASHIER $7.80-$10.24/hourly: Operates the cash register in the concession and kiosk areas. Collects money from guests and gives change. Turns in daily sales, revenue and paperwork from your register and shift. Assists with opening and closing procedures for the food area. Assists with guests needs, food preparation, cooking, stocking and cleaning. Maintains food and paper supplies at appropriate stock levels. Follows all Health, Fire and Safety Codes and Regulations. Cashiering and food handling experience is preferred. Ability to count money and make change. Work well with customers in a friendly manner, assisting them with their questions and food requests. Must be able to read to complete time sheets, read Food Preparation instructions, cash register functions, prepare daily reports and instructions for the equipment, Heath and Fire Codes, and any posted Stock Levels or charts. Good math skills required to count change, compute time sheets, compute daily cash report and measure recipes. Will work a varying seasonal schedule, including weekends and holidays as designated by the Water Park Food and Beverage Supervisor. Food handler’s permit required prior to operating season.
WATERPARK LIFEGUARD $8.00-$10.50/hourly: Performs lifeguard duties; guard pool, rescue swimmers in need, administer first aid, enforce adherence to safety rules in the pool, fill out forms, maintain certification through in-service training, perform safety inspections daily. Maintain pool and water park area; maintain mechanical equipment, check backwash, clean screens, pick up trash, clean decks, vacuum, clean bathrooms and perform other janitorial work as needed, attend in-service training. Read and follow all safety precautions listed on chemicals prior to handling (familiarize yourself with MSDS). Responsible for regular attendance and arriving to work on time. Experience as a lifeguard is preferred but not required. Ability to read and write to complete time sheets, daily reports and comprehend safety materials, warning labels on chemicals and MSDS. Must be able to do simple math to complete time sheet, mix chemicals and solutions and be able to use judgment to determine action needed during emergency situations. Will work a varying schedule, including weekends and holidays as designated by the Water Park Manager. NASCO Lifeguard training required and certification training will be provided.
WATERPARK MAINTENANCE $8.00-$10.50/hourly: Maintains restroom areas, grounds and buildings at the Water Park; miscellaneous janitorial duties. Pick up trash, vacuum pools, clean pool-related mechanical items. Perform maintenance tasks, repair equipment and property as needed. Responsible for regular attendance and arriving to work on time. Must be able to read and write. Experience in pool equipment management preferred, but not required. Ability to and write to complete time sheets, daily reports and comprehend simple operating instructions. Ability to do simple math to complete time sheet, mix chemicals and solutions. Initiative and ability to foresee problem conditions or safety risks at the Water Park and take corrective action. Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees and maintain a good relationship with all age groups and the general public. Will work a varying schedule, including weekends and holidays as designated by the Water Park Safety Supervisor.
WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR $8.40-$11.03/hourly: Instruct participants in water safety classes. Assists with the coordinating, scheduling and maintaining related records and statistics for programs and participants. Coordinates programs and registers participants. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Swimming. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned. Responsible for regular attendance and arriving to work on time. Will work a varying schedule, including weekends and holidays, as designated by the Water Park Operations Manager. Environmental factors consist of working outside in the heat, sun, high humidity and wind. Exposure to HTH, chlorine, muriatic acid, pool chemicals, and slippery surfaces. Basic noise factors consist of crowds and whistles. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Education/Experience/Licenses: Water Instruction Training and Water Safety Instruction.
WATER PARK SWIM TEAM COACH (CONTRACT POSITION) $DOE: Coaches morning team workouts, completes swim meet entries, responsible for the set-up of swim meets, including swim meet information, computer entries, heat sheets, swim meet operation and results, records swim team member’s times and updates records, ensure safety of team members, develop safety rules and guidelines and monitors swimmers in the pool area, work with team parents to coordinate team and meet responsibilities, project a positive and professional image to parents and the public, respond quickly and efficiently to all emergency situations, performs related work as required and as directed, promote swim team participation, responds quickly to all emergency situations, administers any emergency first aid needed, observes and enforces all rules and regulations of the facility, completes all required reports and records on schedule and submits them to the proper area, attend training sessions and staff meetings as schedule, responds regularly and promptly to work. Excellent swimming skills, knowledge of CPR and First Aid required. Previous experience in some phase of competitive swimming. High School diploma or GED. WATERPARK WATER AEROBICS INSTRUCTOR (CONTRACT POSITION) $20.00-$22.00/hourly: Water Aerobics Instructor will provide water aerobics instruction, monitors and educates patrons on fitness and safety, and maintains a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for class participants. Instruct participants in water aerobics classes. Assists with the coordinating, scheduling, and maintaining related records and statistics for programs and participants. Coordinates programs participants. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned. Responsible for regular attendance and arriving to work on time. High School Diploma or GED. Water Aerobics Training experience or certification. Will work a varying schedule, including weekends and holidays as designated by the Water Park Manager.
